§ 1747.03

(a)Any rights or responsibilities created by this title that are based on the use of a credit card shall have no effect with respect to:
(1)Those transactions that constitute an electronic fund transfer as defined by Regulation E of the Federal Reserve Board (12 CFR, Part 205).
(2)Those transactions involving the use of any key or a card key used at an automated dispensing outlet to obtain or purchase petroleum products, as defined in subdivision
(c)of Section 13401 of the Business and Professions Code, which will be used primarily for business rather than personal or family purposes.
(b)Notwithstanding subdivision (a), a person, company, or corporation that has been issued a key or card key described in paragraph
(2)of subdivision
(a)shall not be liable for losses due to the loss or theft of the key or card key incurred after receipt by the issuer of the key or card key of written or oral notification of the loss or theft.
