Section 317S of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 247b–21 ) is amended— in subsection (a)(3)(A), by striking subsection (b)(3) and inserting subsection (b)(4) ; in subsection (b)— by redesignating paragraphs
(3)through
(6)as paragraphs
(4)through (7), respectively; and by inserting after paragraph
(2)the following: The Secretary may consider the use of innovative and novel technology for mosquito prevention and control in making grants under paragraph (1). ; by amending subsection
(d)to read as follows: Amounts appropriated under subsection
(f)may be used by the Secretary to provide training and technical assistance with respect to the planning, development, and operation of assessments and plans under subsection
(a)and control programs under subsection (b). The Secretary may provide such training and technical assistance directly or through awards of grants or contracts to public and private entities. ; and in subsection (f)(1), by striking 2019 through 2023 and inserting 2025 and 2026, to remain available through December 31, 2026 .
