Section 1117(a) of the Right to Financial Privacy Act of 1978 ( 12 U.S.C. 3417(a) ) is amended by striking paragraphs
(1)through
(4)and inserting the following: not less than $1,000 per violation per day; reasonable attorney’s fees and litigation costs; and compensatory damages. .
