In this Act: The term appropriate committees of Congress means— the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate; and the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives. The term Assistant Secretary means the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information. The term broadband internet access service has the meaning given the term in section 8.1(b) of title 47, Code of Federal Regulations, or any successor regulation. The term covered agencies means— the Federal Communications Commission; the Department of Agriculture; the National Telecommunications and Information Administration; the Department of Health and Human Services; the Appalachian Regional Commission; the Delta Regional Authority; the Denali Commission; the Economic Development Administration; the Department of Education; the Department of the Treasury; the Department of Transportation; the Institute of Museum and Library Services; the Northern Border Regional Commission; the Department of Housing and Urban Development; and the Department of the Interior.
The term Deployment Locations Map has the meaning given the term in section 60105(a) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act ( 47 U.S.C. 1704(a) ). The term Federal broadband program means any program administered by a covered agency that is directly or indirectly intended to increase the deployment of, access to, the affordability of, or the adoption of broadband internet access service. The term Federal land management agency means— the National Park Service; the Bureau of Land Management; the Bureau of Reclamation; the United States Fish and Wildlife Service; the Bureau of Indian Affairs; and the Forest Service.
The term Implementation Plan means the implementation plan developed under section 4(a). The term Strategy means the National Strategy to Synchronize Federal Broadband Programs developed under section 3(a).
