Sec. 11. Fire weather rating system

The Under Secretary shall, in collaboration with the Chief of the United States Forest Service, the Director of the United States Geological Survey, the Director of the National Park Service, the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Director of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the Director of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Director of the Bureau of Land Management, and such stakeholders as the Under Secretary considers appropriate— evaluate the system used as of the date of the enactment of this Act to rate the risk of wildfire; and determine whether updates to that system are required to ensure that the ratings accurately reflect the severity of fire risk.
If the Under Secretary determines under subsection
(a)that updates to the system described in paragraph
(1)of such subsection are necessary, the Under Secretary shall update that system.
