Any removal of the Aegis Guam Combat System from the Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility (currently sited on Guam) shall be consistent with section 162(a) of title 10, United States Code, using procedures outlined under Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Manual 3130.06D (relating to global force management allocation policies and procedures), or successor document. In any case in which a removal described in subsection
(a)is carried out, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff shall submit to the congressional defense committees notice of the removal not later than 10 days after the date of the commencement of the removal.
