Section 146(a)(3)(B) of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 ( Public Law 117–263 ; 136 Stat. 2455), as most recently amended by section 145(a) of the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 ( Public Law 118–159 ; 138 Stat. 1810 ), is further amended by striking 2025 and inserting 2028 . Section 146(b)(1) of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 ( Public Law 117–263 ; 136 Stat. 2455), as most recently amended by section 145(b) of the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 ( Public Law 118–159 ; 138 Stat. 1810), is further amended by striking 2025 and inserting 2028 .
Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and annually thereafter through fiscal year 2028, the Secretary of the Air Force shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report detailing the following: The total number and variant types of C–130 aircraft in the inventory of the Air Force. Any planned retirements, divestments, or reductions to the fleet of such aircraft. Modernization and recapitalization efforts, including block upgrades and procurement schedules.
Planned basing actions for fielding C–130J aircraft to recapitalize C–130H aircraft.
