Sec. 7811. Report on indoor mold, pathogens, and airborne toxins within housing units at installations of the Air Force

Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Air Force shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the prevalence of indoor mold, pathogens, and airborne toxins within housing units at installations of the Air Force. The report required under subsection
(a)shall include the following: An assessment of installations of the Air Force in the United States with 500 or more housing units that have had reported instances of mold, pathogens, or airborne toxins since 2010. The number of reports of mold, pathogens, and airborne toxins at each installation specified under paragraph (1), including relevant dates of the reports. A description of the steps the Secretary of the Air Force is taking to effectively remediate the housing units where mold, pathogens, and airborne toxins are found. An assessment of the ability of installations of the Air Force to locate, mitigate, and prevent indoor residential mold, pathogens, and airborne toxins within housing units of the Air Force, including the feasibility and cost associated with testing and treating individual housing units located at such installations for mold, pathogens, and airborne toxins prior to a member of the Air Force and their dependents taking residence in the unit.
