Sec. 626. Provision of counseling on housing for members of the Armed Forces

Section 992 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (b)(2), by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: The Secretary concerned may, subject to the applicable requirements of this section, enter into contracts to provide counseling under this paragraph with individuals and organizations that provide counseling with respect to housing, including— organizations that are certified under section 106(e) of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 ( 12 U.S.C. 1701x(e) ); and other individuals and organizations the Secretary concerned determines are qualified to provide helpful, unbiased counseling with respect to housing. ; and in subsection (f)(3), by striking and mortgages and inserting mortgages, and other financial products related to the purchase or lease of a primary residence (and information on fees related to such products) .
