Subsection
(a)of section 103A of the National Security Act of 1947 ( 50 U.S.C. 3026 ) is amended— in the subsection heading, by striking ; and Principal by striking Principal each place it appears. Subsection
(c)of such section is amended— in the subsection heading, by striking ; and Principal in paragraph (2)(B), by striking Principal . Such Act is further amended— in section 103(c)(2) ( 50 U.S.C. 3025(c)(2) ), by striking Principal ; in section 103I(b)(1) ( 50 U.S.C. 3034(b)(1) ), by striking Principal ; in section 106(a)(2)(A) ( 50 U.S.C. 3041(a)(2)(A) ), by striking Principal ; and in section 116(b) ( 50 U.S.C. 3053(b) ), by striking Principal . Section 6310 of the Damon Paul Nelson and Matthew Young Pollard Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Years 2018, 2019, and 2020 ( 50 U.S.C. 3351b ) is amended by striking Principal each place it appears. Section 1683(b)(3) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 ( 50 U.S.C. 3373(b)(3) ) is amended by striking Principal both places it appears. Section 103A(b) of the National Security Act of 1947 ( 50 U.S.C. 3026(b) ) is amended— in the subsection heading, by striking and inserting Deputy ; Assistant in paragraph (1), by striking may and all that follows through the period at the end and inserting the following: is an Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Mission Integration and an Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Policy and Capabilities, who shall be appointed by the Director of National Intelligence. ; and in paragraph (2), by striking Deputy and inserting Assistant . The National Security Act of 1947 ( 50 U.S.C. 3001 et seq. ) is amended— in section 102A(l)(4)(F) ( 50 U.S.C. 3024(l)(4)(F) ), as redesignated by section 402(g)(1)(B), by striking a Deputy and inserting an Assistant ; and in section 103(c) ( 50 U.S.C. 3025(c) ), by striking paragraph (3). Any reference in law to the Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence shall be treated as a reference to the Deputy Director of National Intelligence. Section 103A of such Act ( 50 U.S.C. 3026 ) is further amended, in the section heading, by striking and inserting Deputy Directors of National Intelligence . Deputy Director of National Intelligence and Assistant Directors of National Intelligence The table of contents for such Act, in the matter preceding section 2 of such Act, is amended by striking the item relating to section 103A and inserting the following: Sec. 103A. Deputy Director of National Intelligence and Assistant Directors of National Intelligence. .
