Sec. 2841. Modifications to Defense Community Infrastructure Program

Section 2391(d)(1)(B) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking , including selection and all that follows through of priority and inserting for each of the following categories ; in clause (i), by striking military value and all that follows through the period and inserting the readiness of a military department or mission assurance at a military installation. ; and by redesignating clauses
(ii)and
(iv)as clauses
(iv)and (ii), respectively, and— by moving clause (ii), as so redesignated, after clause (i); and by moving clause (iv), as so redesignated, after clause (iii). During the two-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall— give priority under the Defense Community Infrastructure Program under section 2391(d) of title 10, United States Code, to projects under subparagraph (B)(ii) of such section (as amended by subsection (a)), for which an application has been previously made for assistance under that program; and allocate not less than two-thirds of the amounts appropriated or otherwise made available for such program equally among projects under subparagraphs (B)(i) and (B)(ii) of such program (as amended by subsection (a)).
