Section 1404(d)(1) of the Defense Dependents’ Education Act of 1978 ( 20 U.S.C. 923(d)(1) ) is amended by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: Children of employees of the American Red Cross who— are performing, on a full-time basis, services for the Armed Forces, including emergency services; and reside in an overseas area supported by a school of the defense dependents' education system. . Section 2164(i) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in the subsection heading, by striking and inserting in Puerto Rico ; in certain areas in paragraph (1), by striking in Puerto Rico and inserting in a territory, commonwealth, or possession of the United States ; and in paragraph (2)(A), by striking resides in Puerto Rico and inserting resides in a territory, commonwealth, or possession of the United States where a program referred to in paragraph
(1)is provided .
