Section 352 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 ( Public Law 118–31 ; 137 Stat. 229) is amended— in subsection (a), by striking September 30, 2026 and inserting September 30, 2028 ; and in subsection (b), by adding at the end the following new paragraph: Details regarding the maintenance and service life extension plan for each operational amphibious warfare ship (as such term is defined in section 8062 of title 10, United States Code) within such fleet until the obligation and work limiting date for the construction contract for a replacement amphibious warship, as necessary to meet the requirements under subsection
(b)of such section 8062. .
