Sec. 166. Annual GAO reviews of the F–35 aircraft program

Not later than March 1, 2026, and not later than March 1 of each year thereafter through March 1, 2030, the Comptroller General of the United States shall— complete a review of the F–35 aircraft program; and submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the results of the review. Each review and report under subsection
(a)shall include an assessment of— the cost, scope, and schedule of the F–35 aircraft program and its subprograms; the status of the efforts of the Department of Defense to modernize the F–35 aircraft; and such other matters relating to the F–35 aircraft program as the Comptroller General determines appropriate.
