Section 1323 of the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 ( Public Law 118–159 ) is amended— in subsection (b)— paragraph (1)— by redesignating subparagraph
(V)as subparagraph (W); by inserting after subparagraph
(U)the following new subparagraph (V): Medical equipment, supplies, and related contingency care or, for military forces, combat casualty care capabilities. ; and in subparagraph (W), as redesignated, by striking
(U)and inserting
(V); and in paragraph (2)— by redesignating subparagraph
(J)as subparagraph (K); by inserting after subparagraph
(I)the following new subparagraph (J): Medical equipment, supplies, and related capabilities necessary to carry out functional responsibilities to support the military and central government security forces. ; and in subparagraph (K), as redesignated, by striking
(I)and inserting
(J); and in subsection (d)— by striking Of the amounts and inserting the following: 2025 Of the amounts ; and by adding at the end the following: 2026 Of the amounts authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 2026 for the Department of Defense, not more than $1,000,000,000 may be made available for the purposes of subsection (a). .
