Subchapter I of chapter 12 of title 5, United States Code, is amended in section 1202, by adding at the end the following: Not later than 30 days after the date on which a vacancy on the Merit Systems Protection Board occurs (whether before or at the end of a term of office of a member), the President shall appoint an individual to fill that vacancy. .
