This Act and the amendments made by this Act shall take effect on the date of enactment of this Act. The attestation requirement under section 316(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as added by section 2 of this Act, shall apply to all applications for naturalization filed on or after the date that is 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act. The amendments made by sections 5 and 6 of this Act shall apply to any conviction entered on or after the date of enactment of this Act, regardless of when the underlying conduct occurred.
