Section 1449 of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 ( 7 U.S.C. 3222d ) is amended— in subsection (b)— by striking Not later than September 30, 1999 and inserting Beginning on September 30, 2026, and not later than September 30 of each fiscal year thereafter ; and by striking fiscal year 1999 and inserting the fiscal year ending on that September 30 ; and by amending subsection
(c)to read as follows: Notwithstanding any other provision of this subtitle, for each fiscal year, a State shall provide to each eligible institution located in the State matching funds from non-Federal sources in an amount equal to the amounts provided to the eligible institution under sections 1444 and 1445 for the purposes described in subsection (b)(1). .
