Sec. 5004. Extension of National Flood Insurance Program

Section 1309(a) of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 ( 42 U.S.C. 4016(a) ) is amended, in the first sentence, by striking September 30, 2023 and inserting September 30, 2026 . Section 1319 of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 ( 42 U.S.C. 4026 ) is amended by striking September 30, 2023 and inserting September 30, 2026 . Subject to paragraph (2), this section shall take effect immediately upon the date of enactment of this Act. If this Act is enacted after January 30, 2026, this section shall take effect as if enacted on January 30, 2026.
