Sec. 2052. Expanding eligibility for catastrophic plans

Section 1302(e)(2) of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (42. U.S.C. 18022(e)(2) is amended— in subparagraph (B)(ii), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; or ; and by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: with respect to the plan year involved, is determined to be ineligible (or reasonably expects to be ineligible) for the premium tax credit under section 36B of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 or for reduced cost-sharing under section 1402 on the basis of the individual’s household income for such year. . The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect to plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2026.
