Section 1819(c)(3) of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395i–3(c)(3) ) is amended— in subparagraph (D), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (E), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: permit immediate access to a resident by not less than 1 individual that such resident designates, subject to the right of such resident to deny or withdraw consent or such designation at any time, but not subject to any other restriction or limitation on such access. .
