Chapter 95 of title 40, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new section: Effective upon the retrocession under section 102 of the Washington, D.C. Residents Voting Act, any reference in this chapter to the District of Columbia shall be deemed to refer to the Federal District or the territory ceded and relinquished to the State of Maryland pursuant to the retrocession under section 102 of such Act, as the case may be. In this section, the term Federal District means the area serving as the seat of the Government of the United States, as described in section 111 of the Washington, D.C.
Residents Voting Act. . The table of sections of chapter 95 of such title is amended by adding at the end the following: 9508. Applicability to Federal District and certain portion of State of Maryland. .
