Sec. 152. Annual GAO reviews of the F–35 aircraft program

Not later than March 1, 2026, and on an annual basis thereafter until the termination date specified in subsection (c), the Comptroller General of the United States shall— complete a review of the F–35 aircraft program; and submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the results of the review. Each review and report under subsection
(a)shall include an assessment of— the cost, scope, and schedule of the F–35 aircraft program and its subprograms; the status of the efforts of the Department of Defense to modernize the F–35 aircraft; and such other matters relating to the F–35 aircraft program as the Comptroller General determines appropriate. The requirements of this section shall terminate on the date on which all development, production, and fielding activities under the F–35 aircraft acquisition program have ceased.
