Sec. 1078. Budgeting and funding requirements for Northern Strike Exercise

The Secretary of Defense shall— ensure that the budget and funding for the Northern Strike Exercise are sufficient to effectively carry out the objectives of the Secretary with respect to such exercise; and include, in the budget justification materials submitted to Congress in support of the Department of Defense budget for fiscal year 2027 and each subsequent fiscal year (as submitted with the budget of the President under section 1105(a) of title 31), a dedicated budget line item for the implementation of this section.
In this section, the term Northern Strike Exercise means a military exercise sponsored by the National Guard Bureau to build readiness and warfighting capabilities for the joint force.
