Sec. 756. Assessment and report on health care services available to civilian and military personnel at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake

The Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Secretary of the Navy, shall develop an assessment of the adequacy of health care services available to the military and civilian personnel workforce at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. Not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the results of the assessment conducted under subsection (a). Such report shall include the following:
A description of challenges to the provision of health care services to the individuals specified in such subsection through the military health system or the private sector, including— a description of any such challenge relating to— insufficient funding or authority to provide adequate services; inaccessibility of health care services available; or a shortage in providers of emergency care or other specialized health care services; and a description of any potential effect of such challenges on the mission of Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, including any tenant command present on such military installation.
Recommendations of the Secretary with respect to legislative proposals to improve such the adequacy of such health care services available to the individuals specified in subsection (a). The plan of the Secretary to address any challenge, or mitigate any potential effect, under paragraph (1).
