Sec. 595. Report on adequacy of commissaries and dining facilities on military installations that support certain missions

Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the adequacy of commissaries, dining facilities, and alternatives to dining facilities on military installations that support— missions along the southern border of the United States; or arctic missions. The report required under subsection
(a)shall include the following elements: An assessment of the adequacy of existing commissary and dining facility infrastructure at such military installations, including capacity, hours of operation, and quality of food service. An evaluation of whether current commissary and dining facilities meet the needs of members and their families on such military installations. An analysis of how any inadequacies in such facilities impact readiness, morale, and retention.
