Chapter 58 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new section: The Secretary of Defense shall seek to enter into agreements with institutions of higher education (as defined in section 102 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 1002 )) to provide credit towards a degree in a medical field at such institutions for members of the armed forces who have received special operations medical training. .
