Sec. 1729. Report on interagency coordination targeting fentanyl and precursor chemicals

The Secretary of Defense shall expand interagency coordination with respect to the targeting of fentanyl and precursor chemicals, including by establishing joint operations with the Secretary of Human Services and the Attorney General. Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this section, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the coordination required under subsection
(a)that identifies, with respect to fentanyl and precursor chemicals, any gaps between agencies in detection, monitoring, and interdiction activities.
