The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff shall establish requirements pursuant to section 181 of title 10, United States Code, with respect to the tactical surveillance, reconnaissance and tracking program providing capabilities to meet the requirements of the commanders of the combatant commands. The Secretary of the Air Force shall establish the tactical surveillance, reconnaissance and tracking program as a program of record. In this section, the term tactical surveillance, reconnaissance and tracking program means the pilot program carried out by the Space Force to use commercial data and analytics to provide surveillance, reconnaissance and tracking information to the combatant commands.
