The President should take such actions as may be necessary to— consistent with the Taiwan Relations Act ( 22 U.S.C. 3301 et seq. ), support efforts to strengthen Taiwan’s ability to withstand any potential blockade or embargo, in whole or in part, including by exploring opportunities for training and support to the Taiwan Navy with respect to convoy operations involving liquefied natural gas; and ensure Taiwan is eligible for energy security and diversification efforts undertaken by the United States pursuant to section 2004 of the European Energy Security and Diversification Act of 2019, including by providing Taiwan with access to same liquified natural gas programs as European countries.
