Sec. 1322. Reporting Requirement on Obstacles to Taiwanese Procurement

Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of State, shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congress a report identifying obstacles to United States assistance in strengthening Taiwan's self-defense capabilities as well as any policy recommendations to address those obstacles. The report required by subsection
(a)shall be submitted in unclassified form but may include a classified annex. In this section, the term appropriate committees of Congress means—
(1)the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Armed Services of the Senate; and
(2)the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Armed Services of the House of Representatives.
