In this Act: The term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Energy and Commerce and the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives; and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate. The term Eastern Mediterranean country means the following: The Arab Republic of Egypt. The Hellenic Republic. The Republic of Cyprus. The State of Israel. The term IMEC country means the following: The European Union.
The Federal Republic of Germany. The French Republic. The Italian Republic. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Republic of India. The United Arab Emirates. The United States. Any other country that the Secretary of State designates as an IMEC country for purposes of this Act.
