The Secretary of State may institutionalize multilateral strategic dialogues between the United States and IMEC countries, including dedicated formats with Eastern Mediterranean countries, with which the United States has a bilateral strategic dialogue. The Secretary of State shall prioritize the Eastern Mediterranean region in United States foreign policy, focusing on energy security and defense cooperation with countries in such region.
