Sec. 2201. Extension of increased inpatient hospital payment adjustment for certain low-volume hospitals

Section 1886(d)(12) of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395ww(d)(12) ) is amended— in subparagraph (B), by striking during the portion of fiscal year 2025 beginning on April 1, 2025, and ending on September 30, 2025, and ; in subparagraph (C)(i)— in the matter preceding subclause (I)— by striking or portion of a fiscal year ; and by striking 2024 and the portion of fiscal year 2025 beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025 and inserting 2025 ; in subclause (III), by striking 2024 and the portion of fiscal year 2025 beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025 and inserting 2025 ; and in subclause (IV), by striking the portion of fiscal year 2025 beginning on April 1, 2025, and ending on September 30, 2025, and ; and in subparagraph (D)— in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking 2024 or during the portion of fiscal year 2025 beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025 and inserting 2025 ; and in clause (ii), by striking 2024 and the portion of fiscal year 2025 beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025 and inserting 2025 .
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Secretary of Health and Human Services may implement the amendments made by this section by program instruction or otherwise.
