Sec. 2. Report on actions taken by Department of Government Efficiency

The Comptroller General of the United States shall prepare a report on the actions taken by the Department of Government Efficiency, as established by Executive Order 14158 (related to establishing and implementing the President’s Department of Government Efficiency ), and shall include in the report— an analysis of the effects of such actions, including actions resulting in the reduction of the number of employees in the civil service, the termination of Federal programs, and the pausing and restarting of Federal programs, on the long-term financial, public health, and safety interests of the United States; and the extent to which the Department of Government Efficiency has carried out such actions in compliance with section 552a of title 5, United States Code (commonly known as the Privacy Act of 1974 ) and chapter 131 of such title.
The Comptroller General of the United States shall submit the report prepared under subsection
(a)to Congress not later than December 31, 2025.
