The Federal officials responsible for carrying out policies and actions under sections 168 and 169 should, as appropriate— coordinate with existing programs and efforts of relevant agencies of the United States Government, including with regard to the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau; seek the cooperation and participation of United States private sector, United States nongovernmental organizations, and United States institutions of higher education; and work with civil society organizations and other relevant stakeholders in Pacific Island countries, as appropriate.
