Section 5 of the Agriculture and Consumer Protection Act of 1973 ( 7 U.S.C. 612c note; Public Law 93–86 ) is amended— in subsection (a), in each of paragraphs
(1)and (2)(B), by striking 2023 each place it appears and inserting 2029 ; in subsection (d)(2), in the first sentence, by striking 2023 and inserting 2029 ; and in subsection (g), by adding at the end the following: In determining the income of an individual for purposes of eligibility for assistance under the commodity supplemental food program, a State shall exclude the value of any benefits provided to the individual (or a member of the individual's household) under the Medicare program under title XVIII of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395 et seq. ). .
