Sec. 12523. Notifications and reports from USDA

The Secretary shall notify the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry of the Senate and the Committee on Agriculture of the House of Representatives in writing at least 15 days prior to— any announcement on— the use of funds from the Commodity Credit Corporation; or the commitment of any emergency funds from the Commodity Credit Corporation; or the obligation or commitment of any emergency funds from the Commodity Credit Corporation, including, if that obligation or commitment exceeds $100,000,000— a detailed spend plan describing anticipated uses of those funds; and an expected timeline for program execution.
With respect to each report or notification required by an annual appropriations Act to be submitted to both the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives, the Secretary shall submit that report or notification to the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry of the Senate and the Committee on Agriculture of the House of Representatives at the same time the Secretary submits that report or notification to the Committees on Appropriations.
