Section 508(h)(3) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act ( 7 U.S.C. 1508(h)(3) ) is amended— in subparagraph (B)(i), by striking including commodities for which there is no insurance; and inserting the following: including— commodities for which there is no insurance; and specialty crops; ; and in subparagraph (C), by striking approval, the Board in the matter preceding clause
(i)and all that follows through the period at the end of clause
(iv)and inserting the following: approval, the Board shall prioritize the development, improvement, expansion, and approval of coverage for— specialty crop producers to ensure that coverage for at least 1 new specialty crop and 1 new State is available to producers each year; and cost-of-production risk to ensure that such coverage options are available to additional producers. .
