The table of contents in section 1(b) of the National and Community Service Act of 1990 ( 42 U.S.C. 12501 note) is amended— by striking the item relating to section 141 and inserting the following: Sec. 141. National service educational awards and Stipends. ; by striking the item relating to subtitle D of title I and inserting the following: Subtitle D—National Service Trust and Provision of Educational Awards or Stipends ; by inserting after the item relating to section 149 the following:
Sec. 149A. Stipend. ; by inserting after the item relating to section 189D the following: Sec. 189E. Non-competitive hiring eligibility. ; and by inserting at the end of the item relating to subtitle H of title I the following: Part VI—Alumni Engagement Sec. 198T. Office of Alumni Engagement .
