Of the amounts previously appropriated under the heading Department of Energy—Energy Programs—Electricity in division J of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act ( Public Law 117–58 ), up to $300,000,000 that are made available for fiscal year 2025 and up to $300,000,000 that are made available for fiscal year 2026, shall be available, in addition to amounts otherwise made available for such purposes, for financial assistance, procurement, technical assistance, and workforce support, to enhance the domestic supply chain for the manufacture of distribution and power transformers, components, and electric grid components:
That such amounts may be used to supplement amounts previously appropriated under the heading Provided, Department of Energy—Energy Programs—Electricity in division J of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act ( Public Law 117–58 ) for electricity activities authorized in sections 40101, 40106(d)(3), 40107, and 40125(d) of such Act in an amount not to exceed 15 percent of the amount appropriated under such heading for each such purpose in such fiscal year and no additional funds may be used to deploy generation:
That any amount repurposed pursuant to this section shall retain its original period of availability: Provided further, That amounts repurposed pursuant to this section shall continue to be treated as amounts specified in section 103(b) of division A of Provided further, Public Law 118–5 .
