Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use shall— conduct a study to— determine which geographic areas of the United States have shortages of racially and ethnically diverse mental health providers, as well as mental health providers trained to work with racially and ethnically diverse clients and clients with multiple mental health, cognitive, and developmental disabilities; and assess the preparedness of mental health providers to deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate, affordable, and accessible services; and submit a report to Congress on the results of such study.
