Sec. 907. Review of Biodefense Posture Review

Not later than December 31, 2026, and December 31, 2029, the Secretary of Defense shall, acting through the Biodefense Council, offer to provide a briefing to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives on the Biodefense Posture Review. Each briefing provided under subsection
(a)shall include an assessment of the following: The current strategy and capabilities of the Department of Defense relating to defending the United States Armed Forces against bioincidents and the ability to campaign and, if necessary, fight and win in a biological threat environment. Changes to policy, law, or appropriations necessary to enhance the effectiveness of the biodefense capabilities of the Department. Such other such matters as the Council considers appropriate.
