Sec. 575. Enrollment in defense dependents' education system of children of foreign military members assigned to United Nations Command

Section 1404A of the Defense Dependents' Education Act of 1978 ( 20 U.S.C. 923a ) is amended— in subsection (a)(2)— by striking a foreign military member and all that follows through Supreme and inserting the following: “foreign military members assigned to— the Supreme ; by striking the period at the end and inserting ; or ; and by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: the United Nations Command, but only in a school of the defense dependents’ education system in South Korea or Japan. ; and in subsection (c)— in the subsection heading, by striking and all that follows through assigned ;
Europe in paragraph (1)— in the first sentence, by striking in Mons and all that follows through subsection
(a)and inserting described in paragraph
(2)of subsection
(a)to determine the number of children described in that paragraph ; and in the second sentence, by striking the commander and all that follows through Belgium and inserting the commanders of the geographic combatant commands with jurisdiction over the locations described in paragraph
(2)of subsection
(a); and in paragraph (2), by striking in Mons, Belgium, .
