Section 226(b)(2) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 ( Public Law 118–31 ) is amended— by striking subparagraphs
(B)through (D); by redesignating subparagraphs
(E)through
(G)as subparagraphs
(F)through (H), respectively; and by inserting after subparagraph
(A)the following new subparagraphs
(B)through (E): The power and thermal management system ensuring up to 62 Kilowatts of cooling and encompassing the following: Power and cooling for aircraft startup. Conventional cockpit cooling and pressurization. Canopy seal, anti-g suit pressurization. Canopy defog. Power and cooling for ground maintenance. Backup cooling for flight critical systems. Lift fan clutch cooling. Nacelle and integrated power package ventilation. Pressurization source for on-board-inert-gas-generation-system, on-board-oxygen-generation-system, and weapons. The electrical power system encompassing the following: Main engine start power – integrated starter generator. Emergency power system. Independent electrical power for normal and emergency operation modes. The fuel thermal management system including the dry bay ventilation. .
