Sec. 1238. Post-disaster watershed assessment for impacted areas

The Secretary shall carry out a post-disaster watershed assessment under section 3025 of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2014 ( 33 U.S.C. 2267b ) for the following areas: Areas of Maui, Hawaii, impacted by the August 2023 wildfires. Areas near Belen, New Mexico, impacted by the April 2022 wildfires. Not later than 18 months after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representative and the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate a report on the status of the post-disaster watershed assessments carried out under subsection (a).
