Section 349(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1481(a) ) is amended— by striking paragraph (6); and by redesignating paragraph
(7)as paragraph (6). Section 351(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1483(a) ), is amended by striking paragraphs
(6)and
(7)and inserting paragraph
(6). The amendments made by this section— shall be effective on the date of the enactment of this Act; and shall apply to any pending renunciation request under section 349(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1481(a) ) with respect to which a final decision has not been made.
