Section 1109(b) of the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989 ( 12 U.S.C. 3338(b) ) is amended— in paragraph (5), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (6), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: to make grants to State appraiser certifying and licensing agencies to support the carrying out of education and training activities or other activities deemed appropriate by the Appraisal Subcommittee for purposes of addressing appraiser industry workforce needs. .
