Section 50265(b) of Public Law 117–169 (commonly known as the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 ) ( 43 U.S.C. 3006(b) ) is amended— by striking this Act in the matter preceding paragraph
(1)and all that follows through the Secretary may in paragraph
(2)in the matter preceding subparagraph
(A)and inserting this Act, the Secretary may ; and by redesignating subparagraphs
(A)and
(B)as paragraphs
(1)and (2), respectively, and indenting appropriately. Section 50265 of Public Law 117–169 (commonly known as the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 ) ( 43 U.S.C. 3006 ) is amended— by striking subsection
(a)and inserting the following: In this section, the term offshore lease sale means an oil and gas lease sale— that is held by the Secretary in accordance with the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act ( 43 U.S.C. 1331 et seq. ); and that, if any acceptable bids have been received for any tract offered in the lease sale, results in the issuance of a lease. ; and in subsection (c), by striking paragraphs
