Section 505(a)(2)(G) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act ( 7 U.S.C. 1505(a)(2)(G) ) is amended by striking including at least one specialty crop producer. and inserting the following: including at least— 1 specialty crop producer; 1 producer that actively engages in livestock production and crop production of agricultural commodities; and 1 underserved producer (as defined in section 508(a)(7)(A)). . The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall apply to appointments to the Board of Directors of the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation under section 505(a)(2)(G) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act ( 7 U.S.C. 1505(a)(2)(G) ) that are— made on or after the date of enactment of this Act; and for a period of service beginning on or after October 1, 2024; or made for the purpose of the October 1, 2024, Board of Directors election (or a subsequent Board of Directors election).
